National Football League cornerback Eric Wright continued along the wrong path after crashing a Mercedes SLS while allegedly being drunk in Los Angeles.
Wright, who had signed a $37 million contract with the hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, has a history colored with poor choices. As an alleged student at USC, Wright was arrested for rape. During the 2005 investigation, cops found 136 ecstasy pills in Wright’s apartment. Following this, Wright transferred to the only university with standards lower than USC’s, UNLV.
The Los Angeles prosecutor’s office did not file rape charges due to lack of evidence. This time around, it looks as if he will be charged. At least, if you need an auto loan in Tampa, this is one more drunk-driver you won’t have to be worrying about.
